NativeAOT readiness

[AArnott]

Nerdbank.MessagePack is NativeAOT safe out of the box, designed from the ground up for it so the APIs are more friendly. Learn more about it in our docmentation.

@cubed-it You've mentioned recently you were interested in a NativeAOT-ready MessagePack library. Have you considered this one?

Awesome, this is great news! Thanks for the super-fast implementation. I've already tested it in my sandbox project, and it's working perfectly on both .NET 9 AOT (client and server) and Unity (Mono and IL2CPP). I'll try to migrate my main project asap.

Could this new package be published on nuget.org?

Wonderful!

Whoops. It was supposed to have published there automatically, but because they were new packages the push failed. I've corrected it and it should appear on nuget.org in a few minutes.

@Lyphion recently has been struggling with MessagePack-CSharp and SignalR due to dotnet/aspnetcore#7298. While MessagePack-CSharp struggles with that, I believe Nerdbank.MessagePack may succeed.

Nerdbank.MessagePack also suffers from dotnet/aspnetcore#7298, but it is willing to serialize collections that cannot be deserialized. And deserialization gets the declared type from SignalR. So I believe that both directions would actually succeed with this library.

Quick update: My primary project is now fully operational with the new serializer. I did not notice any significant impact on performance or memory load. Of the three MessaPack serializers I've used in Unity, this was by far the most straightforward. I'm hopeful this is the final migration and that it will provide long-term stability. 😉

One more thing: perhaps your project would be worth mentioning here? The information provided in the text is incorrect based on my tests.

For anyone needing a Unity example or wanting to test it, I've converted my issue project from MessagePack-CSharp to Nerdbank.MessagePack: Unity Sample

A huge thank you for the project and the exceptionally quick integration. 👍💯

@BrennanConroy What do you think of @cubed-it's suggestion of updating the SignalR docs to suggest using nerdbank.messagepack?
You could potentially link to (or at least reuse docs from) https://aarnott.github.io/Nerdbank.MessagePack/docs/signalr.html
