[Feature]: Add retrieval smoke test with tiny public fixture

Add a lightweight retrieval smoke test that can run without private data or model weights.

Scope:

• Add a tiny public text fixture under examples/
• Build a minimal corpus/chunking test
• Verify expected metadata fields are produced
• Keep the test CPU-only and suitable for local validation
