App icons do not show in F-Droid

The generator works great.
It pulls all the metadata, screenshots and icons from the playstore.
And everything is transfered to F-Droid.

But the app icons don't show up in the F-Droid repo.

Can someone give me a hint, how to get the app icons to show up?

Yes, I had this problem too. It was worst in older versions of fdroid-server. I was on an old version for quite some time because I was using a fork that I didn't update for a long time but after updating it and running fdroid update --clean it was much better, still some apps had missing icons but a lot of apps finally showed theirs.

I haven't looked into that part of the fdroid-server source code but it must be a bug there. There is nothing I can do from here, I even checked the icon files of one app that had their icon missing and one that didn't and the file structure was the same on both files, so the problem is most likely not there.

So all I can say is that you try with fdroid update --clean and see if that helps, it will take some time if you have a lot of apps because it will empty all cache so keep that in mind.

didn't work out for me.
Still some icon don't show up in F-Droid, just the same like before.

But that is just a "aesthetic" issue, not really a big draw back!

In fact, f-droid wasn't using the downloaded icons at all, the PR changes it so it uses the existing icons.
